Welcome to Grantchester Parish Church.

Grantchester Parish Church is a friendly, traditional and welcoming church in a rural setting on the edge of a phenomenal city.  The church building is open each day to tourists and visitors.

Worship with us

There is normally an 11.15am service each Sunday at Grantchester Church.  It is Communion on the first three Sundays of each month, with a traditional service of Morning Prayer (Matins) from the Book of Common Prayer on the fourth Sunday.  On the second Sunday it is our Whole Church Family Services for ages 0-100+ and we serve a light breakfast from 10.30am.  All welcome.  More details are available on our Services page.

Church Building

The oldest part of the church – the chancel – dates from the 14th century, the nave and tower are 15th century, whilst the south aisle was added in the 1870s. The font is believed to be Norman, and the 17th century pulpit probably came from the chapel of Corpus Christi College.

Grantchester PCC has adopted the Church of England’s policies and best practice on safeguarding.  More information can be found by going to our safeguarding page, either using the tab above, or by clicking here.
