| All are welcome to visit our Garden of Remembrance to the South of the Church Help with keeping this garden looking attractive is much appreciated. Seasonal tasks that we need to do- 1. During dry weather, water the plants in the four small sensory beds, using the water butt at the corner of the chancel and south aisle, and the watering cans beside it. 2. In season, deadhead the white roses to encourage more blooms, and remove weeds from these sensory beds. 3. Remove dead flowers from the vases. You might also replace them with flowers from the churchyards, if they are in season. 4. Check that the four benches are looking good and remove litter that is sometimes left around them and on the burial ground. Unfortunately, the yew tree, that overhangs the large rustic bench and memorial, drops its poisonous berries onto them during autumn, and there is a brush that can be used with a watering can to scrub off these berries and the mosses and lichens that over time detract from the inscription along the head of the memorial. Our Annual Parochial Church Meeting (APCM) was held after the morning service on Sunday 31st May. Documents for the meeting can be downloaded from the links below Yearbook, containing reports Finance report and accounts Agenda Minutes of 2025 meeting The Meeting is open to all on the Electoral Roll. Becca will be ordained deacon in July 2026, when she will take up her role as full-time, stipendiary curate to both parishes. She will continue to live in her family home, nearby at Sawston. She has written a brief word of introduction (see below). Hello, I’m Becca. I’m delighted that I will be joining you from July as a curate in your parishes. I am currently training for ordination part-time through the Eastern Region Ministry Course, and until recently was also working part-time as a Team Administrator for the Lordsbridge Team of Churches. My background, prior to having my three children, is in biomedical sciences. My family and I currently live in and attend church in Sawston, just south of Cambridge. I am looking forward to meeting you all in the summer, and working with Rev’d Jim and the ministry team to serve in your parishes. I would be grateful for your prayers over the coming year, as I will be praying for you.
